The weekend has officially arrived, and we are ready! Winter continues to settle in, and today has all the makings of a great early-season day on the mountain that keeps you coming back for just one more run. Overnight grooming set the stage for packed powder and machine groomed conditions across all open terrain, delivering smooth turns and consistent coverage. With more than 15 inches of natural snow over the past 10 days and snowmaking continuing daily, the mountain is steadily expanding. Today’s forecast calls for a high of 28 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds, crisp and ideal for skiing and riding. A few warm-up breaks will make your laps even sweeter! We’re excited to add more terrain to the mix today, with Emperor, Chinstrap, Macaroni, Rock Hopper, and Beginners Basin officially opening. East Slope and East Branch, which opened yesterday as natural, ungroomed trails, are now fully groomed and ready to rip. Both magic carpets are up and running, and C-More Double is spinning as well. Snowmaking is staying busy today on The Alley, Reeds Progression Park, Beginners Basin, and Outta Luck as we keep building toward an even bigger lineup. Over in Tschol’s Terrain Garden, the park crew has been hard at work, and the first setup of the season officially debuted yesterday. While Tschol’s is typically our beginner park, the crew mixed things up with a fun, approachable setup that everyone can enjoy. Expect 4 jibs and a jump on Lower Beginner’s Luck, perfect for shaking off the rust and easing back into park season. Lifts will be spinning from 9am-4pm. Tubing and the Mountain Adventure Park open at 10am, with five lanes ready for sliding fun all day long. Yesterday, we officially opened the Mountain Access Road for uphill travel from 7am-3:30pm with a valid pass and armband. South Slope uphill remains open from 7am-3:30pm as well. Armbands must be worn on the front of the body, and passholders must carry their pass. EVENTS Looking ahead, we’re just one week out from Cocoa and Cookies with Santa! From December 19-22, load the Skimobile Express and head to the Meister Hut for an evening of cookie decorating, cocoa, Christmas stories, and a grand snowcat arrival from Santa and Mrs. Claus.
