Good Morning from Cranmore! Today is a crisp Sunday on the mountain, with partly cloudy skies and gusty winds. Temperatures will start near 36 degrees and gradually fall into the mid-20s, making for a fresh, wintery experience. It’s a perfect day to hit the slopes and enjoy some laps before Christmas Vacation Week gets into full swing.

Our grooming team put in the work overnight, and all open terrain was freshly groomed. Surfaces are machine-groomed loose granular, setting up smooth turns and consistent skiing across the mountain from top to bottom.

Lifts & Hours

Lifts are scheduled to spin from 9:00am-4:00pm today. Looking ahead to the holidays, extended hours begin December 26, with lifts running 8:30am-8pm through January 3, plenty of time to rack up turns during Christmas Vacation Week!

Snowmaking Update

We gave the snow guns a short breather the past few days, but the plan is to fire them back up tonight. With a solid snowmaking window lining up ahead of Christmas Vacation Week, our team will first evaluate any terrain needed for a refresh after Friday’s rain. From there, the focus is on finishing Skimeister and Lower Arlberg, both projected to be open for Christmas. Next up: Middle, the Competition Slope, and the lower portion of North Slope. Winter mode is officially back on!

Uphill Access

A new uphill route to the summit opens this morning, adding another way to earn your turns:

Lower Beginner’s Luck to Lower Gibson to Easy Street will be open from 7:00am-10:30am. We will also have the Mountain Access Road and the South Slope open from 7am-3:30pm. Please remember to wear your armband on the front and carry your pass while traveling uphill.

Tubing and Mountain Adventure Park

The Tubing and Mountain Adventure Parks are open today from 9:00am-6:00pm, with rides beginning at 10:00am. After a big debut last night, Arctic Lights Tubing returns today from dusk until 6:00pm, lighting up the lanes with colorful energy for an after-dark tubing experience.

Upcoming Tubing & Mountain Adventure Park Hours:

  • December 22 & 23: Closed
  • Christmas Eve: 10:00am-4:00pm
  • Christmas Day: 10:00am-4:00pm
  • December 26 - January 3: 9:00am-9:00pm (rides open at 10:00am)

Fresh grooming, snowmaking back on deck, and longer days on the mountain ahead, winter is finding its rhythm at Cranmore. We’ll see you out there!
