Mountain Bike Fest
Join us for our second annual Mountain Bike Fest, a celebration of mountain biking, community, and summer in the White Mountains. Enjoy guided group rides, a vendor village, a women's skills clinic, and music from the Family Van Duo on the Fairbank Lodge Patio. We'll also have a BBQ and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow riders. Plus, members of White Mountains NEMBA and Ride NOCO can take advantage of $25 Bike Park tickets during the event.
Whether you're new to mountain biking or a seasoned rider, Mountain Bike Fest is a great opportunity to ride, learn, and celebrate the local riding community.
Schedule:
9:00-11:00am: Group Rides led by White Mountains NEMBA & Ride NOCO
- Rides depart at 9:00am from the Rec Path Parking Lot
- Open to all ability levels
- Explore the East Side Trails
10:00am-2:00pm: Meet local bike shops, brands, and organizations from across the region.

1:00pm: Women's Bike Clinic
Join our Women's Skills Clinic designed to help riders build confidence, improve technique, and connect with a supportive community of women on bikes. Led by three experienced female riders, this clinic is open to riders of all levels looking to progress their skills in a welcoming and encouraging environment. The Women's Skills Clinic is free to participate in, but Bike Park access is required. Participants are responsible for purchasing their own Bike Park Ticket.
Meet your instructors:
Sara Ellen Godek (Central NH)
Sara Ellen began mountain biking in 2014 and quickly progressed into competitive enduro and downhill racing by 2017. She is the 2023 US Open Cat 19+ Women's Downhill Champion and continues to race recreationally at a high level. Beyond mountain biking, she is also an elite telemark ski racer on the U.S. Telemark Ski Team and has competed at the World Cup level. Sara Ellen is passionate about creating space for women in action sports and is dedicated to helping riders of all abilities build strength, confidence, and community on both skis and bikes.
Sara Thomson (North Conway, NH - Mountain Sports Lab)
Sara is part of the Mountain Sports Lab team (formerly Stan & Dan's), where she specializes in bike service and fitting. Her experience helping riders dial in comfort and confidence on their bikes directly influences her riding style. She is passionate about introducing new riders to mountain biking and helping them feel capable and comfortable on the trails. Her coaching style is supportive, encouraging, and focused on making riding fun and approachable for everyone.
Leila Moreau (NH)
Leila Moreau originally from Southern California grew up racing Cross Country at the age of 12 and dabbled with Cyclocross and Gravity in high school. She raced collegiately in Downhill, BMX, XC, and Road for Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO from 2012-2016. While in college she began spending summers in NH coaching at Highland Mountain Bike Park. Since then she enjoys riding enduro, rock climbing, and skiing with her husband. Whenever she can, she loves the opportunity to get more ladies stoked on the bike!
