Winter is around the corner and Brantly Ludington, Director of Mountain Operations, shares what’s happening at the mountain in the weeks leading up to the winter season.
The mountain is getting snow-ready with the snowmaking guns in place, and the crew is testing the water and airlines to ensure that we can start making snow as early as Nov. 1. Follow our social media for updates on snowmaking!
As a way to improve trail accessibility at the base of Cranmore, cutover trails have been added for skiers and riders to get from one side of the mountain to the other without having to skate across the base. The 38 terrain park is another addition coming to Cranmore this winter, with a mix of boxes, rails and snow features—perfect for beginner and intermediate riders.
Lots of work happening inside the Fairbank Lodge to prepare for its opening during Christmas week, and we just can't wait to share this space with you. The Lookout is also taking shape, with the ground floor framing in progress.
Winter can't get here soon enough!
