A Non-Skiers Guide to Cranmore

Tubing, mountain rides, and a lot of après

We say it all the time: There’s plenty of fun to be had at Cranmore, with or without skis and snowboards. That can mean sliding down the dazzling candy-colored tubing lanes with good tunes, winding down the mountain on the coaster or spending an evening with friends at Koessler’s Bar and live local music. And during winter, there’s always more.

Family Fun

Tubing

The Tubing Park is an easy place to start. Grab a tube, hop on the magic carpet and enjoy the trip back down. Two-hour sessions leave plenty of time for runs down the hill. New last year, Arctic Lights Tubing brought colorful lights and music to the lane after dark on select evenings.

New this year are themed tubing nights:

Holiday Spectacular — Dec. 18

Diva Night — Jan. 1

Y2K Night — Feb. 5

Beach and Summer Vibes — March 5

Mountain Adventure Park

Keep the outdoor fun going at the Mountain Adventure Park, located next to the Tubing Park. The Mountain Coaster winds down the mountain with a hand brake that allows you to set your own pace, the Soaring Eagle Zip Ride takes you above the base area with panoramic views and the Giant Swing sends you soaring back and forth.

For the Adults

The Cranmore Après Trail

You don’t need to spend a day skiing to join in on the après fun. There are local brews, craft cocktails and places to eat all around the resort. Meet your skier crew for lunch and a beer at Koessler’s Bar, settle in by the fire in the Fairbank Lodge and read a book, sit outside at Harvey’s Patio Bar and watch the skiers come down the mountain or even grab a bite and a drink after a day in the Tubing Park.

Koessler’s Bar: Cranmore’s signature bar in the base area is located upstairs in the Fairbank Lodge. Try a Koessler's Kolch, a special Tuckerman brew crafted just for Cranmore, and groove to some live music from local artists.

Harvey’s Patio Bar: New this year, Harvey’s Patio Bar is located on the patio of the Fairbank Lodge slopeside. Grab a drink, gather around the fire and take in the mountain views.

Zip’s Pub: Stop in at this iconic Cranmore mainstay in Schneider Square for great food (try the new Lobster Bisque!) and a drink at the full bar.

Alpine Cafe and Bar: At Artist Falls Lodge, pair an afternoon at the Tubing Park or Mountain Adventure Park with burgers, flatbreads and craft cocktails.

Fairfield Inn Lobby Bar: Stop in for another cocktail (ask about the special!) and a bite at this slopeside hotel, just a short walk from the Fairbank Lodge—or skip the steps and hop on the Cranmore shuttle to and from the Fairbank Lodge.

Live Music: Cranmore hosts live music from local artists throughout the winter. Check the event calendar before you visit.

Meister Hut: For the skiers in your group, the Après Trail reaches the summit. Stop into the historic Meister Hut for a beer or glass of wine with picturesque views of North Conway below. While you’re up there, don’t forget to check out the new Gibson Cabin Ski Exhibit (open on select dates).

Après Cup Club

Join the Après Cup Club and become a part of the Cranmore après scene all winter long. Members receive a collectible 20-ounce aluminum cup that can be filled for the price of a 16-ounce pour at any of Cranmore’s food and beverage locations*.
