Cranmore Mountain Resort’s Employee Engagement Committee recently awarded a graduating Kennett High School and Fryeburg Academy senior, each with a $500 Cranmore Employee Scholarship.

Developed in 2019, The Cranmore Employee Scholarship is awarded annually to two graduating High School Seniors, one from Kennett High School and one from Fryeburg Academy, who is currently or previously employed at Cranmore Mountain or Sodexo Live. Applicants must be in good standing and is planning on attending a 2+ year college or trade school upon graduation. The award is based on the student’s academic, community, and Cranmore employment background.

This year’s recipients were Micah White from Kennett High School, and Ryan Meade from Fryeburg Academy.

Meade has been a seasonal employee of Cranmore since 2020, starting as a ski instructor, and most recently, as a Terrain Park Ranger, and Cranmore Bike Park Ranger. Meade plans to pursue a career in civil engineering.

White has worked in Cranmore’s year-round Mountain Adventure Park for the last year. He plans to attend the University of Vermont with a focus on mechanical engineering.

Both students were chosen as recipients due to their work ethics and strong academic background.
