With so much to choose from, here’s a sample list of what you should check out this season.
Fall Fun and Festivities
Get out into the crisp autumn air for our annual Hay Day Fall Fest on Saturday, Sept. 21 at the Fairbank Lodge Patio and lawn. Enjoy a day full of family-fun, including face painting, live music, a photobooth, axe throwing, our new beer garden, a DJ, pumpkin painting and fall-themed games. For more information, go here.
Keep the good times rollin’ by sticking around after Hay Day for our first-ever Harvest Dinner, complete with live music. Our colorful menu completely captures the essence of the season: pork schnitzel, pumpkin risotto, roasted fingerling potatoes, smoked turkey legs, a harvest salad and candied delicata squash. And at the end of the night, there will be hot apple and cranberry crisp for a spiced, warm and delicious dessert. Get your tickets here.
Interested in more seasonal fun? North Conway's premier tax-free shopping outlet, Settlers Green, is hosting their annual Fall Festival on Sept. 28. Activities will include a candy corn guessing contest in which the winner will receive a $100 Settlers Green gift card, free apples and cider, and a kids hay maze.
Leaf Peeping
Experience all the beauty and wonder for yourself by going on a leaf peeping excursion! The variety of ways to take it all in are as endless as our mountain ranges.
Start by catching a ride on our scenic chairlift to the summit, where you will take in staggering views of the Mount Washington Valley set ablaze in oranges, reds and golds.
Go for a foliage cruise on the iconic Kancamagus Highway, where you will become enveloped by the most striking mountain scenery you’ve ever witnessed.
Or stop by Conway Scenic Railroad, the vintage train station located next to Schouler Park. Choose from an array of railroad tours, all of which take you through thickets of stunningly vivid foliage.
Meander Down Autumnal Avenues
Walking around downtown North Conway at this time of year is like stepping into a watercolor painting. Start your stroll at Frontside Coffee Roasters and try one of their famous maple lattes. Speaking of maple, as you make your way down the street, drop into Zeb’s General Store and sample their locally produced maple syrup. Continue your stroll along to White Birch Books, where you can pick up the perfect story for curling up in a window seat on a rainy fall day.
For those who want to explore North Conway a little quicker than their own two feet can take them, stop by Cranmore’s Bike Crank and Repair Shop. Learn more about how you can bike your way through your fall adventure here.
